Stuart Schneider, a professional photographer, took the photos for this book. Schneider is also the author of 22 books on collectibles, minerals, and ghost photography. Ira Pilossof is a well repected expert in the field of antique cigarette lighters. He has been a passionate collector of lighters for more than thirty years. He has co-authored two books on lighters with friend Stuart Schneider. Currently Ira is the official historian for the largest lighter club in the USA, "On The Lighter Side," or "OTLS." A true New Yorker who is often seen at weekend flea markets with hundreds of lighters in his booth, he is always talking to people and sharing his knowledge of the hobby.
