Martyn R. Ford-Jones was born in London in 1945. His interest in the RAF has led to him being accepted as XV Squadron's official historian. He is also an Affiliate Member of the RAF Club, Piccadilly, London, a Life Member of the Bomber Command Association, a member of the XV Squadron Association, and is one of the squadron historians in the (RAF) Mildenhall Register. Martyn, who has been married to Valerie for over forty-five years, lives in Wiltshire, England, where he spends his time writing, researching, and providing information to families whose relatives served with XV Squadron. He has two daughters, Emma and Alexandra, and two grandchildren, Sonny and Loulou.
