Cynthia Moore Brown has been an acclaimed performer and educator for over three decades in North Carolina, the South, and Europe. She has a degree in Elementary Education and a Masters of Education in Early Childhood, Art, and Child Development. She has been writing since childhood. Her consulting, performing, and teaching keep her on the go. She is the star of stage, television, and radio. Her stories are heard frequently on NPR. Cynthia retired after 30 years of being a librarian, then a K-5 Art Specialist and now performs, does her art, and travels while writing books featuring her stories. She has continued to collect true ghost stories and happenings, using her many talents to bring texture to her down-home Southern style. She is co-founder of the North Carolina Storytelling Guild, Triad Storytelling Exchange, and a festival organizer. Also a seminar leader and motivational speaker for the business, community and education, Cynthia is the co-author of Folktales and Ghost Stories of North Carolina's Piedmont, and Folklore and Food. Her CD, GHOST STORIES FROM THE GRAVEYARD, is popular, especially with her young fans.
