Popular author, performer, and storyteller Cynthia Moore Brown has been telling and collecting folktales since childhood. She lived in a haunted New England house as a child and began then to write and tell her chilling ghost stories. She retired as an art specialist and a public library children’s specialist so she could write books with her stories and collect true ghost stories.

Vampirologist Theresa Bane enjoys traveling and educating audiences about the differences between traditional mythology and horror fiction. Originally from the New York/New Jersey area, she currently resides in North Carolina. Co-founder of the North Carolina Storytelling Guild, Cynthia Moore Brown has been an acclaimed performer and educator for over three decades in North Carolina, the South, and Europe.
