Over the years we have had the privilege and pleasure of meeting hundreds of people with great collections and wonderful ideas for new books. For many of them, writing a book was only a far off dream, something they hoped to do someday. With our encouragement they went on to produce a beautiful, useful addition to the literature in their field.

New ideas and authors are the lifeblood of what we do here. We have gathered together a team of people who will do everything they can to make the concept of a book become a reality.

If you are one of those people who always dreamed of writing a book, we would love to hear from you. There are two ways you can contact us.

1. Write us at proposals@schifferbooks.com including an outline of your idea and some photos, along with the following information:
   • Name
   • Street Address (please use street address)
   • City
   • State
   • Zip Code
   • Home Phone
   • Work Phone
   • FAX number
   • The basic idea of the book you are proposing, and your background in the field
   • The number of pictures you would like to include.
   • A description of your target audience, i.e. size, age, level of organization, etc.
   • How is your book different from others covering the same topic?
   • Where do you see your book being reviewed, marketed, and sold.
   • When is the best time for us to call you if we are interested in your proposal.
     What we need is a brief description, enough to let us know what you are thinking, but not more than you wish to reveal at this early stage of conversation. Please attach electronic photos to your e-mail so we can look at what you are proposing.
     
     
2. FAX us at 610-593-2002 with the above information. We will then contact you to set up a phone appointment in order to speak with you further if there is interest in your proposal.
