(Atglen, PA) is a family-owned publisher with over 5,700 titles in print and a broad catalog of books, including non-fiction books on art, decorative arts, architecture, design, antiques, military history, maritime, photography, fashion, house and garden, food, history, crafts, woodworking, regional, and more. Located on the Schiffer Book Farm near the Chester/Lancaster county line, we are two miles from the Parkesburg station on Amtrak's Keystone Line.

                               Sales Representative/Account Manager

Schiffer Publishing Ltd., seeks a knowledgeable, creative, and career-oriented individual with a bachelor's degree, 5 years professional sales account management experience, and broad interests for a full-time position on our sales team.  Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for analysis are a must.  Previous experience in book or media industry sales is desired and an interest in niche topics and a knowledge of book industry and specialty markets is a plus. 

Duties include customer relationship management, sales to customers by region and specific category of interest.  Researching and generating customer lists/leads, initial contact (cold calls), and follow up, as well as working with internal marketing team on hot leads and category specific sales/promotional projects for new book releases.  Some travel is required for customer visits and trade shows.

Marketing Team Member

Schiffer Publishing Ltd., seeks a knowledgeable, creative, and career-oriented individual with a bachelor's degree, 5 years of professional experience, and broad interests for a full-time position on our marketing team. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for analysis are a must. Previous experience in the publishing or media industry is desired and an interest in art, design, and niche topics is a plus.

Duties include developing and executing title-specific publicity and marketing plans with Schiffer authors, writing and distributing press releases, creating marketing materials, acquiring new books and authors, liaising with reviewers and other media, and contributing to category and company branding efforts.

Copy Editor

Schiffer Publishing Ltd., seeks a highly motivated individual with a bachelor's degree for a fulltime copy editor position. Attention to detail and excellent organizational, writing, editorial, and communication skills are a must. Competency in Microsoft Office, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe Photoshop are essential. Previous experience in the publishing or media industry is desired.

Duties include organizing, reviewing, and assessing the text and images of manuscripts submitted for publishing; communicating with authors and editors; solving problems creatively; and copy editing galleys and final proofs of books for accuracy, consistency, spelling, punctuation, and style. The position has opportunities for advancement.
