More than 200 artful, provocative images celebrate the best of Southern California’s tattooed models, a diverse and gorgeous group known as the Ink Nymphs. The two dozen featured women show how tattoos on the female form can serve up an irresistible, edgy cocktail of fashion, beauty, art, and personality. The book is inspired by Los Angeles’s Angels of Ink festival, an annual family-friendly gathering that brings together a community of tattoo lovers, gear-heads, and rock ’n’ roll enthusiasts, along with local, organic and eco-friendly businesses. Angels of Ink, a philanthropic organization, promotes and supports LA’s unique alternative kulture through the festival and its related events. This lavish, beautifully shot photography book takes the reader on a trip straight into the heart of that kulture, where smoking-hot women adorn themselves with the coolest of tattoos.

Nelson Blanton is a Los Angeles-based photographer who has over 18 years of experience. His style is unique, simple, and always engaging to the human eye. Nelson finds his influences from the works of Hunter S. Thompson, Jack Kerouac, Richard Avedon, and Helmut Newton. Tattoos and photography are two of his great loves, and AOI! Ink Nymphs Los Angeles brings them beautifully together.

Timothy Stephens founded ChopperHead Magazine, a print and online niche publication based in Los Angeles, California, in 2004. ChopperHead provides photography and editorial coverage of the Southern California outlaw moto-kulture lifestyle.

Ebony Mciver has been an international fashion model for 18 years, also working in photography, model management, and graphic design. In her earlier years as a world-class athlete, she studied anatomy and physiology. Her desire for deeper learning and a creative outlet led her to continue studying the complexities of the human body’s restorative capabilities. Through this research she developed a tattoo aftercare ointment and balm called Ink Nymph.
