The founding editor of Residential Architect magazine, Thompson served for seventeen years as editorial director ofBuilder magazine, named business publication of the year in 2010. Thompson’s work has appeared in Fine Homebuilding, Governing, Practical Homeowner, The Washington Post, and many other publications. He holds a BA in English from Northwestern University and a masters degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.
